Lessons

Learn to ski and snowboard at Mt Evergreen. Whatever your age, you can become a skier or snowboarder if the spirit is willing.

We offer individual, group and school lessons.

**NEW** Structured ski and snowboard lessons now offered!

2009/ 2010  Learn to Ski/Snowboard Program            for ages 4-12 years.   

    8 Weeks, beginning Sunday January 3rd, 2010. 

Week one:  1.5 hours - meet & greet.

Week 2 to Week 7:  Lesson Program. 

Week 8:  Final assessment, completion of progression cards, group photos.

 Times: to be confirmed.         

(Likely Intermediate 10:30 - 11:30 and Beginners 12:30 - 1:30)

Lessons will be based on current skill ability rather than age groups.

Beginners and Intermediate levels of instruction will be provided.  Experienced skiers wanting to develop their skills are encouraged to take private lessons.

Each lesson will include a warm-up, skill component, an activity/game, an education component ie: on hill safety/skier code of conduct etc. and a brief review providing individual feedback from the instructors.

All lessons are one hour.

Lessons will continue regardless of weather, unless the skier is contacted to advise of extreme weather conditions.

We will have a make-up week at the end of the program (week9), for any skier who misses a week provided the program organizer had been advised of the missed lesson.

Lesson structure for both levels will be provided at the registration desk.  (Ski Patrol Avalanche Ski Swap).                          

Cost:  $175.  To be paid at registration. Includes helmet.

If you need equipment you can get lesson rate of $10 for the duration of the lesson, $5 to keep equipment for the rest of the day.

Please note that receipts will be provided.  It is Mount Evergreen’s belief that this program meets the criteria for the Government of Canada Child Tax Fitness Credit.
