March 21st… End of the season

With the bizarre temps we have been experiencing, especially the nights above freezing, a majority of our snow has melted.  We had hoped to stay open for at least the March Break but Mother Nature was not very nice.  We appreciate the extra effort our staff went to to keep the hills and lift lines covered in snow so we could play as long as possible.

So now it is time to do our shut down work and would like to invite anyone interested in volunteering to help us to contact Blair at the hill (548-5100 or mtevergreen@kmts.ca).  We can’t pack the chalet up as we are hosting the Kenora Swimming Sharks and their banquet on April10th but all the outside work needs to be done.

Big Boogaloo = Big Fun at Mt. Evergreen!

Ensure you are here for the return of Big Boogaloo Saturday Feb 20.  The Club will be open from 5pm until 1am with skiing from 6-9.  Dinner special of Gropp’s beef on a bun!  The best in town!  This is an age of majority event including the skiing.  Tickets are obly $15 and are available at The hardwear Co., Boardanyone and at Mt. Evergreen.  It was a fabulous night last year when they played so don’t miss out.  For more info you can call the club 548-5100.

Hill lighting project is COMPLETE!!

Work on the hill lights is COMPLETE! .  We will be open for night skiing on Friday Jan 29.  We are also going to be open Wednesday nights for the month of February.  If we get a good response we will keep it going for the remainder of the season.  So come out and show your support Wednesday nights from 5-9. Head to our “hours of operation” page for complete details of our operating hours.

Banff Mountain Film Festival

The festival is Saturday January 9th at 7 pm at Lakewood School.  One Show only and seating is limited.

The Banff Mountain film festival is a fundraiser that is sponsored by the boards of Mt. Evergreen Ski Club and the Kenora Nordic Trails Association, and also supports the high school ski teams from both TA and Beaver Brae.
